The story about how New Era and I collaborated on a hat is actually short and sweet.....
Growing up as a kid in Norway, I collected caps. And the finest lid was without a doubt the "NY" cap --because of the iconic logo. That was the only type I wanted. The number of ¨NY¨ hats I owned reached a total of 68 before I signed a deal with NYCFC many years later. It was only then I found out that I was actually going to be playing at Yankee Stadium! Coincidence? Maybe...
In any case, New Era heard about this story of mine and I ended up with my very own MixLid.
The making of the ¨MIX¨ logo was a long process, and I actually got to design it! When the team at New Era finally accepted, and we got to the finish line, I was thrilled with the outcome.
Clean, cool and classic are the words I use to describe the design. It evokes the same feelings that I got when I fell in love with the ¨NY¨ logo. And my greatest hope it is that you feel the same way when you first experience it!
